External Agencies
We are proud to be able to work with a range of external agencies to support our Sixth Form students. Referrals to these organisations are made by the Head of Year. If you believe your child may benefit from working with any of the organisations listed below, please contact the Head of Year in the first instance.
Youthworks Counselling – Part of the REACH Collaborative
Our Sixth Form students have access to a dedicated youth counsellor. These appointments are student led and provide access to this specialist service without the waiting times of an independent referral. Students enjoy having the opportunity to support their wellbeing, processing how they’re feeling with a trained professional. Students also like that they can access this support around their timetable in their independent study time.
Thriving in Life – Part of the REACH Collaborative
Thriving in Life is a new 0-19 service which combines the NHS support of the School nursing team with the support of a Youth Worker. Thriving in Life have drop-in sessions in school and provide support for all our students over a broad range of areas including: emotional health, healthy relationships, healthy choices and reducing risk taking.
Souster Youth
Souster Youth work in Sixth Form with small groups of students with their Grow Course. This intervention provides students with coping strategies for issues such as anxiety, anger, self-harm, grief and low self worth. Students enjoy these sessions because they can get support for their wellbeing while also building some relationships with others in the group.
The Mental Health Support Team (MHST)
MHST works with the school to provide mental health support for students. The MHST offers early intervention for mild to moderate mental health concerns. Referrals to this service are usually made through the student’s Head of Year.
